Claim Examples

Claim A: Hygienist dropped an instrument in a five year old boy’s eye and blinded him. (important to have separate limits of liability, for each insured even if arising from the same incident.

Claim B: Failure to diagnose oral cancer. Very large payment exposure. This claim could happen to anyone and stresses the need to do oral cancer exams on all patients.

Claim C: Water backup claim. Many policies exclude or put a limitation such as $25,000 for losses arising from water/sewer backup. With Cinci the dentist insured has full BPP limit and business income actual loss sustained.
